Our publishing and servicing company wants to increase the number of books featuring African descent children and make them accessible to our customers in English, French, or Creole. By doing so, we also aim to facilitate bilingualism in children. Our books can engage our readers to experience the cultural diversity of the African diaspora.
How The Company Came About?
ILLEMOUN, LLC was founded in 2020 by Joel Perrot. We are located in Silver Spring, Maryland.
When Joel Perrot first started his passion as a self-publish author and illustrator who has released poetry, novel, and short stories. His experience in publishing was first to do something about the lack of teaching and recreational material to support the creole language at home. One day, after he saw a statistical report here in America on the low representation of books in the publishing industry made by the African descent population, we have to say that his remarkable desire of conceiving literature for children drove him to create ILLEMOUN LLC, as he definitely believes this is his way to connect with this world and contribute the best he can.“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
